our expansion goals
We’ve identified six main goals for our expansion project. These key additions will help our community facilitate our current growth and set us up for long-term sustainability and Kingdom impact for generations to come.
1) Dedicated Next Gen Space
Our expansion will add over 4500 sq. ft. of desperately needed space to help us disciple and care for kids and teens. Our plans include multiple, age specific breakout rooms and a large central gathering space to hold over 150 people.
Our Next Gen wing will be outfitted with a stage and AV equipment, allowing our younger generations to encounter the Spirit of God together in worship. This will also provide a creative arts environment for equipping and empowering our younger generations in developing their gifts to lead their peers into the presence of God.
2) increased occupancy
Our expansion vision will more than double our occupancy to 530 people in our main auditorium and room for another 150 people in our dedicated Next Gen Wing. This will allow us to maintain growth and reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus.
Our larger auditorium space will be outfitted with new chairs and a redesigned AV system suitable to the new layout and needs. We’ll leverage our resources by repurposing our old chairs and existing AV equipment for use in the new Next Gen wing.
3) outdoor courtyard
One of the most exciting features of our expansion is a 3-season courtyard that will connect our lobby and coffee shop to an outdoor hospitality zone. This super cool area will feature string lights, patio furniture, canopies, planters, fire pits, and barbecues.
We’re also planning to include a dedicated playground area as an addition to our outdoor courtyard. This will help foster community and connection by allowing families and kids to gather and hangout before and after services and events.

4) Coffee shop, loft, & commercial kitchen
Hospitality is one of our church’s missional callings, reflected in why we’re called The House. We want to be a safe space where people feel loved and welcomed to be themselves and find community.
Our new commercial kitchen will be used to prepare meals for Alpha dinners, ministry gatherings, and community outreaches. Our loft will be outfitted with comfortable furniture for young adult and youth hangouts and our legit coffee shop will be used 7 days a week for ministry and outreach.
5) creative arts studio
The House has always had a vision for helping people encounter God through powerful, anointed worship. Our expansion will help further this part of our vision by providing an improved AV system and a new studio to expand our creative arts ministry.
Our new studio will support our song writing ministry and help us further our growing online ministry of reaching people beyond our walls.
6) pastoral offices
We turned our office spaces into kids rooms a number of years ago and our team of six pastors now work around a large table in our main auditorium space. We make it work because we have no other options but in reality it’s a very limiting aspect of our ministry.
A new office area will provide privacy for confidential pastoral counselling meetings and a more focused work environment for studying the Word of God.
