our impact

This is what we do every week.

Our current growth and Kingdom impact is now limited because we’re completely out of space.

imagine what we can do with 3x the space

Sunday Nights

We host 200 young adults and university students in our weekly Sunday night services. These gatherings are marked by passionate worship and this vibrant community serves as the anchor point for our other young adult ministries. We provide shuttle service to students in the UBCO dorms during the school year.

Mentoring Network

In the past two years we’ve matched up over 50 young adults with adult mentors in our church. These are intentional mentoring relationships with a commitment to meet together bi-weekly over 8 months. This has proven to be highly impactful for both the mentor and the mentee alike.

SPiritual Rhythms

We have upwards of 90 people engage in multiple midweek spiritual formation courses throughout the calendar year. Classes like Rhythms, Practicing the Way, and How to Read the Bible equip believers to live their faith on a daily basis.

Alpha

Alpha is a proven outreach ministry used by churches across the globe to reach people with the Gospel. Here at The House we host between 40-60 people each week for a meal and conversation centred on exploring themes of faith in Jesus.

University Student Lounge

We host 30 -45 university students each Monday in our coffee shop. They join us for a home away from home experience to study, hang out, and find community in a safe place. We provide homemade meals, free laundry services, and lots of room to spread out and study.

Foodbank

Did you know 29% of university students in Canada face food insecurity? Our church launched a food bank to help serve this gap and it has since grown into a fully stocked pantry of staples available to everyone who has need. In partnership with UCM, our shuttle also provides weekly grocery runs for dorm students.

kids ministry

Our church is filled with young families and we’re totally out of space, cramming over 80 kids into four small rooms each Sunday. We’ve discovered young families are hungry for spiritual community and this is a growing mission field for our church.

Youth ministry drop-in centres

We partner with Youth Unlimited to run weekly drop-ins for high school students in Rutland and Lake Country. We serve over 300 hotdogs each week; creating a safe place for dozens of vulnerable teens to encounter meaningful and caring relationships.
